Through a series of cross-analyses between the distribution of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) and various sources of data (bio-regions, bathymetry, distribution of species and habitats), this document provides an analysis of the coherence of the MPA network in the Atlantic Arc, to coin the commonly used term. In addition to the spatial footprint of the network, we have sought to highlight the degree of representation, within the MPA network perimeter, of the main features that justify the protective measures : major ecosystems, habitats and species.
